We start with discovery, not a quote We spend the first week understanding your domain before writing a line of code. You get a domain map, a data flow diagram, a risk register, and a decision log. An engineering partner who is accountable if it breaks, and who stays until it doesn't. - **Speed matters but correctness matters more.** You need to ship fast, but the version of fast you actually want is one that doesn't require a full rewrite in six months. - **You're building in fintech, AI systems, WhatsApp-native operations, EdTech, or enterprise workflow automation.** Industries where we have delivered production systems that are still running. ## Where another model fits better - **Your problem is genuinely simple.** If a Claude Code session or a no-code tool can solve it cleanly and you don't need multi-tenancy, RBAC, or production-grade observability, use that. We will tell you this honestly in the first call. - **You need to validate an idea, not build a system.** For early validation, a prototype built with AI tooling is better than an engineered solution. Come back when you've validated and need to build it properly. - **You need capacity inside your existing team structure.** If you have your own engineering leadership and sprint process and need developers to plug into it, that's staff augmentation, and there are firms that do it very well. Our model is different: we own the architecture and delivery outcome end to end. If you need to direct the engineering yourself, we're not the right fit, but we can point you toward firms that are. - **You need a 20-person team from day one.** We are deliberately small and take 2–3 engagements simultaneously. This is a feature for clients who fit our model, and the wrong answer for those who don't. - **You need compliance ownership.** PCI-DSS certification, RBI regulatory sign-off, or full legal compliance responsibility. We build to compliance requirements defined by your counsel. We do not hold these certifications as an organisation. - **You need it done in two weeks for under $3,000.** We can't help you there and we won't pretend otherwise. At that scope and budget, AI tools are genuinely the right answer, and we'd rather tell you that than take the engagement. ## Security and compliance posture - **MULTI-TENANT DATA ISOLATION** — Row-level security enforced at the PostgreSQL layer with tenant_id on every table. RBAC validated at API middleware before any data access. Zero shared connection pools. Separate encryption keys per tenant. Cross-tenant access is architecturally impossible, not just restricted by policy. - **AUDIT TRAILS** — Append-only event log on all state-changing operations. Every record: actor ID, action type, entity affected, before and after state, timestamp, tenant_id, and request correlation ID. Non-deletable by design. Queryable per tenant for compliance reporting. - **RBAC IMPLEMENTATION** — Roles and permissions enforced at both database and API layers. Middleware validates permission scope before any resolver executes. Tenant administrators configure hierarchies within their own boundary only, cross-tenant role access is architecturally impossible. - **COMPLIANCE CONTEXT** — We have built for EU fintech clients under PSD2-adjacent requirements. We build the technical implementation to compliance requirements defined by your regulatory counsel.
